A rate card is simply a lesson price for a given length. Set yours once and every lesson you book knows what it costs — which is what makes a billing run a two-minute job rather than an afternoon with a calculator.
Where they live
Settings → Advanced → Rate cards.
Add a rate card
Give it a Name (something like “Standard 30-min”), a Length (mins) and a Price. Most studios end up with one card per lesson length they teach.
Mark one as your default with Set default — that’s the price used when nothing more specific applies.
How a lesson picks its price
When a lesson is created, LessonLoop looks for the most specific price it can find, in this order:
- A price set on that particular lesson
- The student’s own default rate, if they have one
- A rate card matching the lesson’s length
- Your default rate card
The price is then stored on the lesson at that moment. That matters: changing a rate card later doesn’t rewrite lessons that already exist, so a mid-term price change never silently re-prices work you’ve already done or invoiced.
Deleting one
You can delete a rate card you no longer use — Lessons already priced from it keep their amount. This can’t be undone.
