Everyone signs in to the same studio and sees the part of it their job needs. Roles are set under People → Team & access, and they decide what appears in the sidebar, not just what a click is allowed to do — so a role you’ve narrowed looks calm rather than full of things that refuse.

The three that surprise people
Finance has no Messages. Family conversations are teaching business, and a finance role is deliberately kept out of them — not filtered, absent.
Finance has no Enquiries, and so no Growth group at all. Enquiries are a sales surface, owned by owners and admins. With no Website and no Enquiries to show, the Growth group doesn’t appear for finance.
Settings is a sidebar row for owners and admins only. Everyone else opens Settings from the avatar menu at the top right, where it shows the parts of Settings their role can manage — their own profile always: name, password, time zone, appearance, teaching availability, devices and notifications.
Teachers
A teacher sees their own teaching day rather than the studio’s. Their Billing & Finance group sheds its admin framing and presents as “My pay & mileage” — their mileage log and the reports that are about them. Reports a teacher can open are scoped to their own lessons, so the Payroll and Attendance numbers they see are their own.
The Term Planner is an owner and admin tool: rolling a term creates lessons for the whole studio, so it isn’t a teacher’s job.
Parents
Parents are not staff, and their portal is a separate space — teal, six pages at most, and no LoopAssist. A family sees only their own children, lessons, invoices and messages, and there is no view in the portal that reaches another family’s anything.
Role, or not yet? If something is missing, it's either your role or your studio's stage. Roles are on this page; the other half is what appears as your studio grows.
