Every email LessonLoop sends for you — invoices, payment reminders, lesson notices, bulk messages — leads with your studio’s name. Out of the box it sends from our shared address ([email protected]) with replies going straight to your own email, so families always reach you when they hit reply.
If you’d like the from address itself to be yours (e.g. [email protected]), verify your domain once and every email switches over.
What families see
- Before verifying:
Your Studio Name <[email protected]>— reply-to is your address, so replies still come to you. - After verifying:
Your Studio Name <[email protected]>— sent and replied to entirely on your own domain.
Either way, mail keeps flowing — verification is never a blocker, just an upgrade.
Verify your domain
- Go to Settings → Communications → Email identity.
- Enter your studio email address (e.g.
[email protected]) and choose Add. - LessonLoop shows you a short list of DNS records (SPF and DKIM — the entries that prove to inboxes the mail is really yours and keep it out of spam).
- Add those records at your domain registrar — the company you bought the domain from (GoDaddy, IONOS, Cloudflare, 123-Reg…). Copy them exactly; each record has a copy button.
- Back in LessonLoop, click Verify. DNS changes can take a little while to propagate — if it doesn’t verify immediately, check again shortly.
Once the badge shows Verified, you’re done — nothing else to switch on. Every future email sends from your address.
Troubleshooting
- “Couldn’t verify yet” — the records usually just haven’t propagated. Give it up to an hour and press Verify again. If it still fails after a day, double-check each record value against what LessonLoop shows (a stray space or missing dot is the usual culprit).
- Removed the records later? Sending falls back to the shared address automatically — mail never stops, and replies still come to you.
- You need a domain you own to verify. Addresses on shared providers (e.g.
@gmail.com) can’t be verified — LessonLoop will keep sending from the shared address with your reply-to instead, which works well.
