Enquiries is where every potential new family lives until they become a student. It brings your new enquiries and your waiting list together in one pipeline, so nobody slips through the cracks between a first message and a booked first lesson.
Where it lives
There are three ways to open it — they all land on the same pipeline:
| Get there | How |
|---|---|
| Growth → Enquiries | In the left sidebar, open the Growth group and choose Enquiries. |
| From Students | On the Students page, switch the Students | Enquiries toggle to Enquiries. |
| Search | Press the Search button in the top bar (or ⌘K / Ctrl-K) and jump straight there. |
How the pipeline works
Each enquiry sits in one of four states, so you always know what needs your attention:
- Interested — a fresh enquiry you’re still talking to.
- On waiting list — someone you’d love to take on once you have a slot.
- Converted — they’ve become a student (see below).
- Lost — they didn’t go ahead, archived out of your live list.
Move an enquiry between states as the conversation progresses. The waiting list isn’t a separate place to maintain — it’s simply the On waiting list state, kept right alongside everyone else.
Convert an enquiry to a student
When a family is ready to start, convert their enquiry rather than typing everything out again:
- Open the enquiry from the pipeline.
- Choose Convert to student.
- Confirm the details. LessonLoop creates the student record, adds the guardian if they’re new to you, and can optionally book a first lesson at the same time.
That’s it — they move out of Enquiries and into your Students roster, with their history intact.
Good to know Converting is one-way and reuses everything you've already captured, so there's no double entry. If a family later drops off before starting, mark the enquiry Lost to keep your live pipeline clean — it stays on record, it just leaves your active list.
Keeping the pipeline tidy
A quick weekly pass keeps it useful: nudge anyone stuck on Interested, review who’s On waiting list when a slot opens, and clear anyone who’s gone quiet to Lost. The fewer stale entries, the more your pipeline tells you at a glance.
